The God Who Sees Her

“She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’” — Genesis 16:13

Genesis 16:13 reminds women of a powerful truth: God sees us completely. In this moment, Hagar felt alone, overlooked, and pushed aside, yet God met her personally and called her by name. This verse reveals God as El Roi, the God who sees—present in moments of pain, confusion, and uncertainty.

Many women quietly carry feelings of being unseen or misunderstood. This Bible insight encourages women to remember that no tear, prayer, or struggle escapes God’s attention. Even in seasons of isolation or waiting, His presence remains constant and compassionate.

When life feels overwhelming, Genesis 16:13 offers reassurance that God’s care is personal and intentional. He sees your heart, your fears, and your hopes. His grace surrounds you, reminding you that you are never forgotten and never alone.

A Prayer for Her

Father God,
Thank You for being the God who sees. You know her heart and every hidden struggle she carries. Remind her today that she is known, valued, and deeply loved by You. Give her peace where she feels unseen and strength where she feels weary.

Help her trust that You are working even when she cannot see the way forward. Cover her with Your grace and lead her gently each step of the way.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
