Trusting God Instead of Worry
Grace For Her
This is for me and a Sister who may be worrying about the bills today.
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Matthew 6: 25-27
In Matthew 6:25–27, Jesus lovingly speaks to hearts weighed down by worry. He reminds us that anxiety does not add to our lives; it only steals our peace. God, who cares for the birds of the air and clothes creation with beauty, is deeply aware of every need we carry.
This reflection is for the woman who lies awake thinking about tomorrow, finances, family, health, or unanswered prayers. Jesus is not dismissing our concerns; He is inviting us to trust the Father who already knows what we need. Worry may feel productive, but it cannot change outcomes. Trust, however, anchors the heart in God’s faithfulness.
Matthew 6:25–27 gently calls us to release control and rest in God’s provision. When we choose faith over fear, we create space for peace. God’s care is constant, intentional, and personal. You are more valuable than you realize, and your life is held securely in His hands.
