Don’t Let Bitterness Block Your Breakthrough

Grace For Her

Let it go, Sis!

Not because they deserve it, but because of God's glory. If I'm being honest, sometimes we hold things against someone who doesn't seem to notice it or even care to ask why things have been different lately, which makes the situation even worse. On the flip side, Christ came and died for us to have life, life in abundance, which is why we have grace in abundance. We never deserved it, but it is ours for free every day. So, set yourself free to receive life in abundance.

Sometimes the biggest thing standing between us and our breakthrough isn’t the situation around us — it’s what’s growing inside our hearts.

Resentment.
Bitterness.
Unforgiveness.
Old hurt we keep replaying.

When someone hurts you deeply, those feelings can feel justified. You think about what happened, what was said, what should have been different. Slowly, without even realizing it, that pain can harden into bitterness.

But bitterness doesn’t just affect the person who hurt you — it weighs down your own heart.

That’s why the Bible encourages us to deal with it quickly.

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger… forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:31–32

Repentance isn’t about shame. It’s about freedom. The moment you bring that hurt to God and release it, something shifts inside you. Your heart becomes lighter. Your spirit becomes open again.

Breakthrough often begins where bitterness ends.

If resentment has quietly taken root in your heart, don’t carry it longer than you need to. Bring it to God honestly. Ask Him to soften what has hardened and heal what still hurts.

You don’t have to pretend it didn’t happen.
But you also don’t have to let it block where God is taking you next.
