When Life Is “Life-ing”: Trusting God When Everything Feels Out of Control
Grace For Her
There are moments in life when everything seems to come at you at once.
Your plans fall apart. Bills show up at the wrong time. Your relationship feels uncertain. Your health worries you. The job situation becomes stressful. Family problems arise. And suddenly you feel like you’re drowning in situations you never planned for.
People often say, “life is life-ing.” And sometimes that phrase really fits.
You’re trying to stay strong, trying to keep your faith, but deep down you may wonder: “God, are You seeing this? Are You watching what I’m going through?”
Many women quietly carry these thoughts. You wake up, take care of responsibilities, smile for others, but inside you feel like Peter when he began to sink in the water.
Yet the truth is this: God has never lost sight of you.
The Bible reminds us:
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.” — Psalm 34:17
God sees the situations you cannot control. The uncertainty. The pressure. The emotional weight. Nothing about your life surprises Him.
Sometimes when everything around us shakes, God is inviting us to do something deeper than just believe in Him — He’s inviting us to know Him.
When life is peaceful, faith can feel easy. But when life becomes unpredictable, your relationship with God becomes your anchor.
That is when you hold on to His promises.
The same God who watched over Job during unimaginable loss is the same God who restored him. Job lost his wealth, his security, and even the comfort of understanding why it all happened. Yet God never abandoned him.
And when the season of testing ended, Scripture says:
“The Lord restored the fortunes of Job and gave him twice as much as he had before.” — Job 42:10
That is the heart of God. Restoration. Redemption. Renewal.
If God gave Job a double portion, it means He is still the same God today. He is still restoring broken stories. He is still opening doors. He is still turning painful seasons into testimonies.
Think about modern life for a moment.
A woman might be dealing with financial pressure and wondering how she will make ends meet. Another may be navigating heartbreak after a relationship ended. Someone else may feel stuck in a job that drains her or overwhelmed by responsibilities she never expected.
In these moments, it’s easy to feel like you're sinking.
But faith says: “Even here, God is working.”
Your current situation does not cancel God’s promises.
Just because you cannot see the solution yet does not mean God is not preparing one. Just because you feel overwhelmed does not mean heaven is silent.
Sometimes the breakthrough begins the moment you choose to trust again.
You remind your heart:
God has done it before.
God is still doing it today.
And God can do it for me.
So if life feels heavy right now, don’t let the circumstances pull your focus away from God. Lean into Him. Talk to Him honestly. Stand on His Word.
Because the same God who restored Job is still restoring lives today.
And your story is not finished yet.
